Sat Oct 20th Leisurly Ride

A exploratory ride starting at home and working though some grown over single track then down a set of power lines to Point Park in Riverview. On the return leg I stopped in to see my grandparents for a little water and a brief hello. On the ride home I also spent some time hike a biking through a swamp created by an ambitious beaver.

Fall Festival of Colors

Bitter cold fall day shivering all the way up the lift. After three mediocre runs working out some of the kinks, I ran into Mike Phillips and Fred. We hit the rock face trail into a new section that had a very flowy and steep descent back to the main trail. Next we went into the freeride trail where I hit the 5' drop to the ski trail and the small three footer coming out of the woods.

We probably got 6 good runs in on Hill Billy, Thor's Trail, Conner's new trail (2), Free Ride, DH

Excellent event that punished the bike hard!!! Can't wait for next year!

Four Hours of French Fort Cove

Once again an incredibly well run event hosted by incline sports. I put up a 5 lap performance with an incredibly slow time of 4:53.00. Lap one went very smooth, lap two featured an untimely flat followed immediately by some severe cramping. Lap 3 was limited by cramps. Lap 4 the cramping subsided and I had a very clean run. Lap 5 was very slow as the cramps intensified and limited any amount of power that could be applied to the pedal. Technically I felt very comfortable and stamina was there in abundance. All and all it was a very rewarding day on the trails with some good friends from Fredericton.

September 16th H'Boro

A medium paced ride through Hillsboro's 07XC race loop along with a long climb up to the trailhead of Mike's new trail. Excellent long and flowy sections with some very rooty shorter sections mixed in. Great trail conditions despite the heavy rainfall a day prior.

Wed 8/29/2007

Just returned for a great 2 hr med paced ride with Steph, Marc (aka rockymark), Josh (aka xc monkey), Laura Josh's girlfriend from France in H'boro. We discovered several new trails with some long and flowy downhills - you know they're long when you get tired and you haven't pedaled in 2-3 minutes. The 5-8 minute long climbs pushed all of our limits. The trails were in perfect shape, and bone dry, which made for some very quick descents and great traction on the climbs.
